This project was designed to highlight themes of empowerment and unity within the black lives matter protests in 2020. Each person has their own individual experience with the protest, from empowering others, feeling empowered or standing in solidarity with the cause.

Several of these images were also featured in the “Shades of Resistance” exhibition at The Bomb Factory Art Foundation in August 2024.
